Coach Davis

James Davis will bring 18+ years of sprint coaching experience to the Longmont community. Coach Davis is a California native and migrated to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado (Boulder) on track and football scholarship. After a stellar collegiate track career, he turned pro and continued to build a solid track resume that included the following:

High School:

Coach Davis is currently the Head Track and Field coach at Skyline High School (9th season). Prior to joining the Skyline staff, he spent 10 seasons as the sprint coach at Boulder High School.


Track Club:

Coach Davis is the owner and Head Coach of CDm Elite Track Club. CDm Elite was founded in 2014 with the expressed intent to develop the T&F stars of the future and showcase today’s athletes at the highest level.


Personal:

Coach Davis lives in Longmont with his girlfriend Tara. They are currently raising 4 boys (JJ age 16, Miley age 15, Taben age 14, and Taylor age 9) and enjoy vacationing and taking road trips between seasons. Coach Davis is a Sr. Project Manager of 22 years and still trains and competes locally on the Master’s T&F series.
